Exclamation Auto Bilge Pump Problem

Auto Bilge pump does not work at all....have to manually pump out boat after it rains and boat seems to collect water very quickly. I looked at and around the pump and did not see any obstructions. From what I was told the 2007 195cc has a bilge pump that does not have a float but some computerized cycle of some sort....are there any possible quick fixes? Is anyone else having this problem. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Got this word from Triumph factory on the pump issue:
Quote:
All boats starting with MY2005 have float style pumps (the float is inside the housing of the pump). It is possible that the float switch has burnt out. The way to test this is pull the pump out of the base still hooked up to the wires and turn the pump over if it turns on then it is working if not I would have them take it in to there dealer to trouble shoot.
So yours should have a float.

Check Fuse

I have a 2007 215CC and my bilge pump wasn't working a few weeks ago. The fuse was blown. The dealer did my 50 hour service, and checked it for me. He brought a spare pump in case it was dead, but just cleaned the screen on pump, and replaced fuse...it is working fine. I am not sure where your fuse is, on the 215cc it is in the center console. Also, if you have a 2007, your pump should be covered under warranty...I would have your dealer check it out, save you the headaches. Hope this helps.

You might want to search the forums...this issue has been well documented. I have the same boat and have the same problems.

1) Your fuse is a brown plastic coupling with two wires coming out of the bottom. It is hanging around your batteries and is a 7amp fuse.
2) I am willing to bet that both your bilge and your raw water pump both leak when running. My bilge was like a water fountain spewing water when it was running due to a cracked flange. I had to remove the stern bilge access panel (with the ruler on it) in order to diagnose this.
3) Your raw water pump (pictured below, supplies to both the washdown and the baitwell) probably leaks even when not running. You should close the valve (blue handle) to stop the flow. You can see this pump via the access hole on the stern bilge access panel.
4) Your dealer should cover all the repairs.

I still love my plastic boat!
