The height of the glass in front

I'm very serious about buying a Triumph boat for next summer. The boat seems perfect for me but i have few questions.

1) Somebody told me the height of the glass is not very high, it seems that when you ride the boat your head is above the glass, so you eat the mosquitos and if it's cold you feel it. Is it true ? does anyone knows the height between the floor of the boat to the top of the glass in front ? i'm 6,1 foot.

2) Is it possible to buy it with a two axles trailler ?

3) Does any one knows if there's a dealer in Canada ?

4) Does the bimini top is like Lund boat wich cover everthing ? Is the top is like Yamaha G3 boat or Princecraft or Lund ?

Thank's to you...

At worst i know a place in the U.S about 3 hours from Montreal but i will have to work it out to pass it at the border.

Claude,
look at the pictures of of the boats that you are interested in on the triumph website. each boat has people in them. You can get an idea of the height of the windshield. I just ordered a 195 CC and the height of the windshild is about head high on me 5'11". the windshield on the 191FS is low because you sit down low to drive it. Go to boattest.com and look at the videos of the triumph boat test. It will give you another view.Goog luck.

I have a 195CC and I am 6'3" tall. I have no idea how to convert that to metric.

When I stand the wind is not blowing in my face. By the way, the New Jersey State bird is the mosquito.

HI Claude. I contacted the folks at Triumph to get answers to your questions. Here is what I found out from them.

Quote:
1) Top of wind shield to deck 46.5". I am six feet and have never eaten any bugs while driving the boat as the wind is deflected upward.

2) Yes the aluminum trailer this year comes with dual axles

3) We are currently signing dealers in Canada, if the customer knows of any dealers we would be glad to talk to them.

4) The Bimini top while it covers most of the boat windshield back it is not
connected to the windshield most any canvass company could do an enclosure
with out a problem. Bow enclosure available as an option.

Wow!

This is the best answer i had on forum on the net. Sometimes guy are not answering exactlky what you want.

The answer you gave me is perfect.

This is the boat i need and because of this answer i will even go to the state to buy one.

46 inches is ok to me for the winshield and the only thing is the bimini top but i will do it buy a place in Montreal.

All right, this is the boat i neeed.

Claude,

I just took delivery of a 2008 195 DC at the end of September. I have a little issue with the height of windshield. I'm 5-11 and the top of the windshield is right at eye level when I'm sitting. Also, my dealer ordered the standard trailer with my boat and what I got was a single axle galvanized trailer. That being said, I am happy with the trailer, it tracks nice behind the truck.

By the way, I'm really happy with the boat and a little bummed that I've had to put it away for the season.

you didnt have to put it up yet. I still have not put mine up yet. I am hoping to get one last trip to Erie in this month. probably the west basin, but am thinking about the area off of lorain you had mentioned. I am just not that familiar with the lorain area as to were to launch etc. I think the triumph dealer Beaver Park Marine probably have a ramp or could direct me. I want to get out with my son one last time before he is deployed to Iraq for 13 months.

Beaver Park is where I bought my boat. Yes, they have a launch and that's where I put in. I don't know what they charge, if at all. Since I bought my boat there, they haven't charged me. There's a bait shop about a mile East of the marina, the place is called George's (it's on the North side of the road), the guy in there is a great about directing to the hotspots. I bought a Lake Erie map in there and the map has fishing spots with coordinates. The place that everyone talks about is the Lorain Sandbar. The South end is about 5 miles due North of Vermillion.

I went out last weekend with a buddy we only caught 12 perch. The waves really kicked up on Saturday, the boat did great but we called it quits earlier than expected. It was bloody cold that morning, just above freezing.
