New 195 CC WOW!
Brought my 195 home from Merritt via Lake Norman on Tuesday. Did 2 hours on the lake to do the early stages of break-in on the Yam 150 4-stroke. Did get up to 3,500 rpm for a few minutes the last 1/4 hour on the water. WOW!
This is one sweet ride. Carl Merritt did a custom fit for the Lenco trim tabs on the curved transom of the 195. Very nice, Very professional. Got home and realized this boat did not have a built in mount for the fire extinguisher. I took the leaning post exchange option which gave me a perfect "unused" space under the seat to mount the fire ext. Just wondering how others have solved this challenge?? Hope to post some shots of the really clean installation of the TACO outriggers done by the Merritts. Not a standard item on the 195 but they look great and function as advertised (in the parking lot). With the four rod holders on the back of the leaning post back rest, there are 16 rod holders on this mini war wagon. Trolling, casting, light spinning... What a challenge... Excited, Oh Yeah! |

Congratulations jim. I too have the 195CC and I got the leaning post exchange. I absolutely love that boat. I mounted my fire extinguisher on the side wall of the storage compartment in the center of the boat forward of the console. I store my life jackests in there also. Out of the way but easy to get to. I want to mount a second extinguiser outside, but I have not figured out where yet. If you come up with a place let us know. I've been offshore a couple of times with mine and it handles great.I did not get the trim tabs yet. I wanted to run the boat some and decide if it needs them. Enjoy your new toy!!!
