Angry Foam at new fish box drains

I was installing my new fish box drains yesterday and to my surprise I had foam between the inner and outer hulls in both front fish boxes. Has anyone had this on their boats? I was told at the dealership that this area was solid plastic and was called a kiss off point were the two hulls came together. I was not expecting to see foam here, the two back boxes were fine they were all plastic. If anyone else has had this problem let me know what you did about it. Thanks for any help

In two of mine there was just a sliver of foam. I used screws long enough to go completely thru the hull and used plenty of rule in the large hole and the pilot holes. I trimmed off the screws under the bottom with my drimmel tool I’m not sure that was exactly the right thing to do but I haven’t had any problems.

your situation is just coming to life on a thread on the tech forum. many of us have been under the impression (me since '01) that the fish boxes were solid-- i still think mine are cause i dont see any foam there. keep an eye on that thread to see what develops
