Bait pump

Got a question.....if you bait pump is howling....would you say it would be time to replace it???? My at the end of last season, was starting to sing so to speak...do you think it is about to burn up??

That would sure be my first guess. I would look at replacing it sooner than later, just for peace of mind. I have had electrical components fail in other boats. You run the risk of melting wires and causing extensive repair work if the pump seizes up and the breaker fails to trip. Just a thought.
