Great responses from all, thanks guys. This boat is looking like the right fit more and more everyday. I like it for local stuff and still may have a little $$$ left over for some long range charters.

After the first year of fishing (up to 50 miles from shore) in Gulf of Mexico I have fished at least 3 times per year at 75 miles out from shore. My experience is that the GOM is somewhat rougher than either the Left or Right coast, because of the shorter interval of our sea. that said, I have been caught by bad weather with seas up to 8 ft and several times with seas of 6 ft and always with intervals of less than 7 seconds, usually a lot less. I don't plan to go over 35 miles if seas are forecast more than 2 - 4 because we always have at least 2 ft chop on top of the seas. My boat is an old Logic with the larger gas tank, and my engine is a 130 Honda. I carry 10 gal or more of extra gas when I am going more than 50 miles from shore. I have had my share of problems using the boat this way, but I would buy it again knowing what I know today, at today's prices. BTW the 130 is NOT enough power for a 210, get at least a 150. When I bought my rig the 130 was the largest 4 stroke available from any mfg. Thats my .02 worth. If you have any questions I might be able to answer, send me a pm. Mike
