Welcome Mark.

I have all Raymarine except for the Icom VHF. My only suggestion would be to try and stay with one manufacturer. I happen to like the Raymarine equipment, but other folks like Furuna or Garmin.

In reading as much as I could before purchasing my electronics, allmost everyone said it was a lot easier to communicate between pieces with only one manufacturer.

Hello Mark, there are threads on both your questions. The wiring for the windlass can be run in the chase for the bow lights and the auto pilot install has photos. Congratulations on your new boat.

Electronics are an individual preference thing to me. I do agree with OspreyVic though, stick with one brand so interfacing is simplified and reliable.
