Dittos with Genelie. Well said Dick. The dealer is the person to talk to about the delivery of the boat. You're buying the boat from the dealer, not Triumph.

Guys, the only problem I have is that when I call the factory I don't expect a receptionist to be the deciding factor (phone nazi) as to whether I should be ALLOWED to talk to customer service. After all, I'm not asking to talk to the President of General Motors. I'm asking to talk to customer service! I don't regard being able to talk to customer service as a privilage, I regard it as a benefit. I regard it as a benefit even if I should just be THINKING of buying a boat.
Second, a brief e-mail, all in caps is pretty much a brush off. Not something I'm used to seeing that the matter could have been handled much more personally the first time by customer service. What would have been a much better sceneario. Example: "Hello, I'd like to speak to Brian." "Do you mean Bryant in customer service?" "I suppose so, I have a question about my boat." "I'll transfer you." Thank you." "Hello, this is Bryant, how may I help you?" "I'd like to know if my boat has been molded yet." "I'm sorry, I can't tell you that since we don't manufacture boats by customer name but by dealer order. What is your dealer's name?" "Pacific Boat Center" "I have several orders for that dealer and don't have the customer names for the hulls. If you call your dealer he can call me with the invoice number and I can give him the status of the order." "Thanks, I'll do that." "Are there any other questions I can help you with while you're on the phone?" "No, not right now thanks. I may call back when I have some installation questions if my dealer can't help me." "Ok then, enjoy your boat when it's delivered. Be assured you're buying the best offshore skiff on the market." "Thank you, goodbye." |

From my dealer, the bitter taste is a little less bitter now!

[quote=Dick@merrittmarine]Hey Guys, Give the Factory a break. They do not have ordered boats by customers name. The dealer probably ordered a truckload of boats and only he has the info of who he has assigned to each hull. The dealer doesn't know the hull #s until the boats arrive at his facility. The hull # has the month, year of manufacture and model year in the last 4 digits of the #. Dont forget , Bryant is customer service, the dealer is the customer and pays for [financed] the boats before they leave the factory. Bryant is a great guy and will help an end user with a problem, when the dealer cannot.
Your wright Dick on this subject I agree 100% Bryant is a very nice guy.all I ask was when myboat was going to be built he told me the 1st of May and would be done around the 12th of May he was very helpful but when I called for a delivery date he said they can't give that info out very simple. Thanks for the info |

Hi Guys got the boat 2 weeks ago. been out twice, the E-TEC 175 is a really nice engine out of the hole is awsome 0 to 51 MPH in seconds, last friday was bad on lake Erie waves where 10 feet high. fastest I could go was 10 MPH. Handles lake any other boat in the rough waters. Going back out Friday!
Take Care! |

You saw 10 foot wave on eries west basin...heck it is only 30 feet deep. crazier yet you went out in it....I have a 210cc and was looking at 3 ft + out of port clinton and said no way. the boat could handle it to get from A to B but it would be NO fun.

The waves last friday where bad we estimated that to be a 8 to 10 foot wave. I having been out there several times and never seen one like that. it was bad we sitting there at idle. And the wave came in from the front of the boat like something out of a movie we got pretty wet. I think it also had something to with the frighter ship that went by earlier. |
