the reason i brought it up is on the 01 186 i had the powerdrive style t/m was notorious for jumping out of the cradle when i got into some rough waterwhich was more times than calm. i would at least wrap the bow line i see in the photo around the shaft a couple times just to keep it from jumping around should it come out of the cradle.

i think i have heard several west coasters say they order their boats w/o rails ---but i forgot their "logic " in it!!!
