Question Keeping Her Looking New ??

Hey Gang !

Looking for a little help ! I have 2006 Triumph 215 CC 150 Yahama in a slip at NAB Little Creek in Norfolk, Va. After each trip I givemy new baby a good fresh water wash and scrubbing with the 3M cleaner the boat dealer provide. I have been fishing my back side off for the last three weeks as I prepare for short term military deployment in JUN 06. I notice last night during clean-up there were many tiny black dots on all the edges of the my fish boxes and on the floor by the center console. Has this happen to any one else ? What is this the best cleaners for cleaning the triumphs interior and exterior ??

Thank you for your help in advance.

Caught and release 1 RED 43 2 Black 35, 2 Black 25 DRUMS

Fish on !

Best solution is to use a pressure washer. The dots are simply an accumulation of dirt in the "pores" of the roplene.

Yep...........My boat is about a month old and I see them popping up here and there, around the edges of the floor panels etc. Try some bleach w/soap mix and brush on let it sit for a couple of min. and rinse. I think it is growing like a mildew. Let me know if this works for you.

Exclamation

Be very careful with the bleach use... It is very hard on electrical connections and bilge pumps

Gentlemen the fastest and easiestway to get rid of the dots is with a little electric pressure washer and some simple green, I have a 1600 psi one from Costco and it works like a charm.

I use the blue Dawn dish soap in a bucket of water. I scrub the deck with a soft brush and most of it comes off. I see these "dots" around where my feet rest below the steering wheel and around the bait tank. Simple green works very well with a semi-abrasive sponge. Don't scrub too hard, because there's no reason to do so. Also, I've never used abrasive cleaners or bleach, and mine still looks good.

Soft Scrubs with Bleach and for that shiny look, buy the tire Wet and Shine product and spray it on your hull, slick and shiny.
