On a positive note!

Well, today I FINALLY picked up my 2006 Triumph 215 Chaos. With back surgery 2 months ago and slow mending then piled up work I just haven't had a chance to get it. In the meantime though I had Boat Tailors in Reidsville, NC make a custom cover for the boat and I am really impressed with the quality of their workmanship. They now have a pattern for the 2006 215 and you should call them if you're looking for a great boat cover. I think they will be working with at least one of the Triumph dealers on this site and hopefully others in the future to provide covers for other boats in the Triumph line up.

I've posted some pictures of the cover below and plan to do a review of it. It is made of "Sunbrella" material that breaths, is water repellant and UV-Ray protected. It is a trailerable cover so I drove it home as you see it on the boat. It will repell water and yet allow the boat to breathe so it doesn't mildew. The "wrap" is made in two sections that connect at the center console and can be unzipped from either side for access inside the boat. I'm really impressed with it and look forward to not having to clean out leaves and junk from sitting in the driveway.

Thumbs up

Looks great Brother!
And know the feeling about the sunbrella cover Randy though I do not recommend towing with it on to help keep from pulling on all those expensive stitches

What you will find out is some days when you want to work on the boat is you won't, cause you really do not want to hassle with taking the cover off! Ha-Ha.. But they do a nice job of keeping everything all clean and I love mine. It also looks like that days of shooting some hoops is over with now that the new ride is home

BoatTailors makes the covers so they are towable. They reinforce every point that makes contact with cleats or fuel filler cap, etc. It tows nicely.

Now all I need to do is order on of those covers for my 215 because up here in northern california we get a lot of rain. I don't like the idea of my boat sitting in the rain all winter.

Randy,

That isn't just nice, it's FANTASTIC. That is the best fitting boat cover I have ever seen. Very pretty.

Thanks Codfish. I agree with you. My son took the cover off yesterday to wash the boat for me and we put it back on this afternoon. It took about 15 minutes for us to do it (first time), but I was very impressed with how everything fit perfectly. We just pulled the two pieces together from each end, zipped up the middle section to connect the ends, placed the bow post inside (to cause rain to run off), wrapped the t-top posts, pulled the bungee clips ( already attached and positioned to fit the boat) to attach to the trailer and then pulled the tension ropes on the back to pull it all together nice and snug. I love it.

If interested you can contact them directly now and I think one of our online Triumph dealers will be a dealer for them soon and may carry some of the covers for different Triumph hulls. Eric and his staff are great folks too.

NC, nice cover. Too bad that my boat is not stock in that it has no T-top and no bow rail plus I have the trolling motor on the bowspirit. There's a local custom marine canvas place close to me and when I get back from Mexico I'm going to have a cover made as well. I want just a snap on cover since the boat will be at an inside berth for ten months of the year but I still like the idea of a nice clean boat at the start of the day.

Now, more important, when are you going to USE that craft?

WELLLLL Darn I am JEALOUS....really nice looking, you seemed to have all the goodies on her as well. I pondered the thought of getting a newer moldle....the wife almost shot me Who knows. My boat will be paid off next year, we will just have to wait and see.
