Anchor locker drain

I just bought a 05 210. I see I will have to install drains in the transom. I was also wondering about a drain for the anchor locker. I noticed after alot of rain my anchor locker has 10" of water in it. Can anyone tell me of a way to get this to drain? I'm so glad I found this site, I have already learned a great deal about my boat!

Welcome to the site snowman. There should be a small hole located under the bow that allows the anchor storage to drain. It may have become clogged with some debris. You might also do a search on the site using the search menu link above to find other posts where this has been addressed. Someone may have drilled a slightly larger hole but I"m not sure and wouldn't want to do it myself till getting some other input. Check with your dealer or posting a question in the "Tech Talk" forum will get the attention of Dick Cabble at Merritt Marine in Hillsborough, NC. Dick and Carl Merritt know more about these boats than anyone I've met.

I have a 210 purchased new in mid-2005. There is no drain in the anchor locker, and I am wondering how best to go about installing one. After reading this thread, I went back and cleaned out the locker and looked to make sure, but nope, no drain. Should I post in the tech talk forum?
Thanks,
Ric

while all of you are in there looking around, pay close attention around where the bow eye screws down inside. i have a crack from where the plastic isnt fully solid and it will have to and appears to have been previously been welded back closed
since you will have that area all cleared out looking for the drain hole, wouldnt hurt to look around for this ---remember mine is an '01 and the improvements have come every year and this may be an area that has been addressed by the plant.
