Bait pump leaking badly

Well, as the title say's My new bait pump started leaking badly the other day while on the water. I noticed that my bilge pump started to pump out a lot of water...I think to myself....this is not good... So I pull up the inspection plate...sure enough, there was water coming in, and it was not a trickle , but a quite fast stream. That is when I narrowed it down to the bait pump. Of course by now I have my crew freaking out that we will sink in the middle of no where. But I put them at ease. I told them, even if the bilge quit , I have 2 manuel pumps on board, and it would take a lot more than this to sink this boat.
Now the only good news out of this, AND this is what my thread is about..any who, the good news is, that it will be easy to fix, SINCE we can pull up the entire floor to work on such things. Try that with a fiber glass boat...in our class. BIG BOATS EXCLUDED>

Thats a good Idea, I would at least leave in the corners, I always keep a small set of tools on board. I have yet to pull up the deck to work on her. I need to get on it, I have a trip planned this Sunday
