I will be picking by boat up next Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the factory in Durham.
We are visiting the factory to learn more about what went wrong with our hull and to understand how they fixed it. I will follow up with a post once I know all of the facts. Secondly, I plan on getting the boat in the water next Saturday...take it out on the Chesapeake...pound it a bit...and see how she rides. I will continue to leave feedback about this experience. BTW - After a few weeks of little correspondence, Triumph really came on strong. We have had many factual conversations with one of their lead engineers that have certainly begun to restore my confidence. Again...I will wait to post anything else until I have my facts straight. |

That really makes me feel good. My boat has been "perfect" but you wonder when the pucky hits the fan if the word of the manufacturer is really worth the paper it's printed on.
I hope you have LOTS and LOTS of fun and fish on your craft. Fish safe! |

i get water in my boat all the time.. the last time offshore i had water in my boat over my ankes.. my scuppers alway have been 3 to 4 inchs below the water line.. triumph said it s ok after they gave me another boat but it was the same way. i have call and talked to scupper designers and they told me there in no scupper design to be under the water line... triumph has a bad design and don t want to live up to it.. they now want to put more weight in my bow.. not... trading the boat on a 236wi key largo i m losing money because i have a 2006 215 but i don t trust the boat offshore don t want to spend a night with no power

Wow I can understand your frustration. I've not personally heard of a 210 with that much water in it. I've had a 2003 210 and a 2006 215 and neither one took on water like that. The scuppers on both were similar to Osprey Vic's photo. I had some water in the splash wells but never at my feet. When did you get it back from Triumph and what have they said about the fact that it is still taking water thru the scuppers?

this is the 2nd boat the 1st one was the same way... they took the 1st one back gave me another boat and it was the same way.... now they want me to take pictures of the boat with no one in it.. send it to them don t know why.. but their fix is to replace my bilge pump and put more foam in the front of the boat to add weight to the bow...this is the way the model use to be builded (that will cause you to use more gas.) i can watch the water run into my boat it runs into the fish box then is pumped out by the bilge pump.. if your bilge fail which mine did you boat fills with water.. i was worried that the water would go over my batteries and i d lose power and have to spend the night at sea..

Hvillaro, I would ask that you consider a possible alternative.
As I mentioned in a post above dated 8-13-2006, I do not even have a starboard scupper. I went to Specialty Pool Products http://www.poolproducts.com/-c-WNCWNTPLG-FNM-92.htm and purchased two “Winterizing 1 1/4" Pipe Plugs”. As of today, their price is $3.00 each plus shipping. A picture is below. Even in the roughest seas or with wet teenagers tubing I have never had the water you talk about. Just a suggestion and hope you consider it.

heck the only time I have had water past my splash wells was when I took a breaking wave over my starboard aft quarter. When I powered up I went out the back in short order. 03 210cc. The only model I have heard of having water problems you describe was the 190 bay with the side scuppers.
