fish box drain pump--too much time on my hands!!!

after having both rear floor boxes flood last weekend ,i thought i would toy with the idea of putting pumps in the box to remove the water. it passed the "yard " test and i will be on the water to test it tommorrow as i will be back after those bull red drum in the pamlico sound of n.c.

as promised to dick of merritt ,i have put a couple pics here to give you an idea of the set up. they are switched on with a center off double throw switch on the console .

also, after inspecting the ball check scuppers on the transom and finding them out of round from the ball wearing on them ,i installed the duck bill scups as an alternative and can say that they worked marviously last weekend. problem last weekend was the water was washing over the back of the transom and the scuppers in the "well "was letting water onto the deck and into the floor boxes. i have since bought rubber stoppers to plug the well holes and the floor box pumps should pump any wash down/ deck water that get in them.i have a union above the 1/2 male adapter screwed into the thru hull that allows me to remove the whole mess and plug the hole should any part of the assembly fail.

also thought i would show ya'll how i get my inner hull foam water drained from my boat!!!

as i said --too much time on my hands and not enough fishing time!!!!
