My Suzuki 175 has averaged 4mpg over the first 150 hours. Thats a mix of idling, cruising, fast crusing, etc. I also run the Lowrance Fuel Management System, a $49 dollar option on their GPS/Sonar units. Since I operate in the Sacramento/San Joaquin delta, fuel pumps are never more than 5 miles away. Even so, I maintain a 15 gallon reserve.
Soooooo, 55 gallons times 4 mpg equals 220 miles. Another thing, I've never filled the tank in the U.S. but in Mexico, if the pumps were not set WAAAAYYYY off, I actually pumped a total of 85 gallons to fill the tank to the brim. |
