07 215 ?

Just wanderng if anyone out there has the info or has seatrialed the 07 215 yet? I am hoping they have upgraded the fishbox drains to go direct overboard instead of into the bilge.

Seems like it would sea trial the same as all 210's and 215's prior to it as it is the same hull.

only the 24 ft will have direct overboard drains. it is the only hull that is deep enough for the bottom of the fishboxes to be above the waterline. aint gonna happen on the 215

guess us old timers with our Logics are lucky in this aspect, as our fishbox drains go directly thru the hull and into the sea! was never quite sure what they were thinking when they changed the drains to go into the bilge area!

yep ,thru hull drains and 85 gallon gas tanks are 2 things the newbies will never have---but i do like the improvements there have been since 01---but they sure havent got any drainage right since our 01's

the reason I figure they went away from it is water intrusion into the inner hull. I had no water problem before I had them put in on my 03 and did shortly after. My problem has been fixed and I understand that the kissoff were the drains were drill through separated and that was what let the water in. They were drilled out larger welded shiut redrilled and I had stainless clamshells put over them.. no water now and they drain while underway when I take the plugs out.

probably right Dick, I do get a bit of water in my hull that drips out my transom drain. but it has never been a problem for me and I don't worry about it, the boat performs just fine, maybe I'll check out my fishbox drains carefully and make the improvement you did some day.
