It sounds like you have identified enough causes , but one more to stick in the memory banks. I had a no start issue, but the power trim worked only from the motor. Batteries wer good and no apparent corrosion. Problem was ultimately traced to corrosion in the harness at the motor connector. Probably unusual, but something to retrieve from the back of the head if the more obvious corrosion points are not the problem.
