All,
I asked your opinions on ride of 215 on another thread. I wan to know the the differences between 210 and 215. I want to buy a 215. But my wife will be happy if I buy a 210 (used). I will be fishing 7 more years, and I think I can tow a 215 with my truck (towing capacity: 4400lb). I fish within 15 miles from the marina. The boat will be on the water always, and probably tow less than 5 times a year for maintenance. There will be 2 men on the boat 90% of the time, 4 adults twice a year. I want to know the significant differences (not minor) in the following categories: · Hull design and size (for ride) · Weights of trailers (towing) · Outboard available (hp and brand) · Years built · Logic or Triumph? · Major changes on the deck layout (unacceptable design for fishermen) Thanks in advance, Joe |

Hull design is the same, only difference is the added bow platform. Weight of the 215 might be a tad heavier than the 210 only because of hardware and not by a huge margin. Outboard compatible either boat. Simple 210 hull manufactured 2000 to present as it's the same hull for the 215. Logic or Triumph it does not matter other than Triumph name started using starboard instead of starboard lite for the hatches and since 2006 there has been hardware changes in Ttop diameter piping, railing and other minor items. Cosmetics have changed fairly regular as well via graphics and vinyl color schemes. Chaos, no longer made, replaced by Tournement edition, is a tan colored 210 hull with subdued black hardware.
No major changes other than the floor box lids, some different rocker switches for electrical, larger diameter piping for rails and tops. Fish box drain delima and no rear installed drain plugs to drain inner hull are prevelant in every 210/215 that has rolled out of the factory. For what you mention your tow capacity, I would say with a fully loaded 210/215 you'll need more tow capacity as you will be right at that weight with a fully wet 210/215, gear, fuel, and the like. |

Procon & OspreyVic,
Thank you very much for the great information. The information you provided was exactly what I needed. After reading posts on “Help for newbie looking to buy 02 210cc” and “How do you rate the ride of 215CC?”, I have a good understanding on 210/215. Now I am leaning toward buying a 210. For the price of a new 215, I can buy a 210 and a used V8 Tundra to tow. Though, finding a used 210 will be real challenge where I live (Northern VA). A very few fishermen know about Logic/Triumph. First thing first, I am going to get the truck ready for long trips to see/buy a 210. Thank you, Joe |

The Tundra is a GREAT truck. Putershark has a Tundra and really likes it. The Tundra was at the top of my list until I realized that the only reason I was getting it was to tow the boat. For ease of parking and having something wife would feel comfortable with we went with a 4 wheel drive Ford Explorer. We wanted 4 wheel drive for any slippery boat ramps we might run into.
We wish you much success in your search. The only regret we have in purchasing our Triumph was that we did not purchase it sooner.

Are you the same Friday on Tidalfish that always is fishing stretches out of Breezy pt? I live in Nova also and am looking to buy a Triumph at the boat show in January. Only places that I've found Triumphs are Hooked on the Bay, and Staffford Marine. Where are you looking for a used Triumph? I can't find one on the net anywhere. Mark

MErogers,
Yes, I am the Friday on TidalFish. It looks 21' Triumph/Logic is the perfect boat for my need for the bay. If I buy a new one, I will get it from Hooked on the Bay, or Staffford Marine. It is hard to find the used where we live. I am willing to drive down to South Carolina if I find one. I will let you know when I find one. Joe |
