seat maintenance

I discovered my one year old 210 seats wouldn't turn around. The pull knob was seized up which allows the seat to turn.

I sprayed some anti corrosion on the part and I eventully got them working again, but not before I broke one of them trying to unscrew the pull out from the seat base. Make sure you spray some type of lube on them before you end up with a problem like I did . I hope this helps someone else.

Wink 210 seats

I also had a problem with my seats on my 01 logic 210,once I got them off and sprayed them with WD40 (only thing I had at the time) they operated just fine, I also had to replace the plastic bushing that sits on the post..Now I spray them when I think of it and that took care of the problem,The boat stays in a lift year around and salt water is not kind to any boat without proper maintance

There has been more than one thread about this very problem. Some good advice on repairs and replacements. This is a universal problem for all 210 owners and should be attended too before it gets you.

Remove the lock pin assembly and put waterproof grease on it, liberally, that should solve the problem for a year or two. It worked for me.

If you need new lock pins try Merritt Marine, they will have them I bet.

Try some of this stuff http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/32-8824.html and let it eat on it for a while... Good stuff I even used it to free up a old seized outboard engine that had not ran in years by letting it soak into the cylinders for a day or so
