2002 210 Dash Lights

Hello, I have just realized that when I turn on the engine, the dash lights turn on also...gauges become backlit. It appears that all of my switches are off, do these lights stay on 100% of the time, or is there something I am missing here...thanks for any input out there.

Now I do not know the type of guages came with your boat, that depends on the brand of engine. As for my 2002 210, the compass, and guages come on as the key is on the on position.

Most of them I have seen are on all the time OR wired to work when the running lights on turned on.

dash lights

I own a 01 210logic, the dash lights along with the compass light stay on if the ignition switch is on. The other boats I have owned have also operated the same way. it does not seem to be a problem. My dash lights go off when the running light toggle is in the anchor position, and they turn on again when the switch is in navigate position as they should.
