Since we have plastic boats, has anyone considered the effect UV sunlight has on these boats.

Yeah, the factory says it has some kinda UV protection in the plastic, but everything plastic that Ive every seen eventually becomes brittle and cracks, due to exposure of the sun's UV rays.

I keep my boat covered to protect it from UV, bird crap, dirt and leaves.

Thank you all for your input. I have talked to the folks at Covers Inc. and will be investing in one of their covers.

Thumbs up I changed my mind and bought a 24' Parachute

I figured that I would give it a shot...only 50 bucks.

RECYCLE is right...the parachute works like a charm.

A big THANK YOU to RECYCLE.

just so you know, as far as I know mine has never been covered during the summer months, its a 2000 210CC and the Roplene shows no sign of any sunlight damage. Of course I live in the northeast where it is cloudy all the time!

however I may look into this parachute thing!

mine doesnt have a T-top, how about just a big tarp?

Bought a parachute for mine last year and it works like a charm. I keep my 210 in an old tobacco warehouse storage facility during the winter and use the parachute to keep leaves and junk out during the rest of the year. less than $50.
