AM/FM CD Sirius Radio

I ordered the radio combo package with my new 215cc. I'm concerned about where it is located on the console I need room for GPS, VHF and fish finder. Anybody got any photos and how does the stereo system sound?

Thanks, M I M

I INSTALLED MY RADIO MYSELF IN THE BACK OF THE CONSOLE BOX. IT HAS THE FACEPLATE OFF IN THIS PIC THE 6" SPEAKERS INSIDE THE CONSOLE AND IF I HAD A DO OVER I WOULD HAVE PUT 2 MORE IN THE AREA BELOW THE STEERING WHEEL RATHER THAN UP ON THE T TOP

Clogger their is a guy in topsail that has an 02 210cc. He mounted two speakers in the electronics box attached to the t top. You should hear the sound especially when he plays it with the door open.

I have a 190 Bay

I installed the Radio inside hanging from the top of the TTop Ebox and speakers firing downward (cut holes in bottom of E box) and it sounds incredible for a boat. Have gotten many compliments, plus with the down firing speakers you can here it at speed.

That is the AquaticAV CD player and their 6.5" speakers. I have been most impressed. The radio is hung with a $25 radio box from Boater's World which was not wide enough so I cut it down the middle with a jig saw. Seems to work fine and the boat has been through some rough seas. The EBox is the from Boater's World also (website/phone). They do not show them on their site, only the larger one which may work better for you, but if you call they seem to have them. I beleieve it is the same one MolarBoater has...

This weekend I am mounting my VHF up there and a Sirius radio reciever... should be all done with the EBox after that. The only draw back is if you put small things up there (a washer, dime, or similiar) it could get into the speaker. I am making some baffles to keep things out either out of foam or Starboard.

Good luck.

Looks the same, it is marketed under the "Smith" brand sometimes with their T-top build a-kit. Nice speaker set up Fattiresc.

Speakers and Sirius

I plug a portable Sirius unit into my amp once and a while, via the headphone jack, and it sounds great. I picked up a pair of wakeboard tower speakers in the off season on eBay and they sound amazing. They have adjustable tweeters so you can aim them down at the drivers seat. You can see the speaker hanging from the rail on the T-top. They are tucked up high and well protected. The Sirius really helps pass the time when your waiting for a bite.

Dang Bob, looks like you busted that fish's ear drums!

Tower speakers, hmmm, just clamp them to the T-top, are they
magnetically protected and waterproof too? I need a second set of speakers
and I have already filled up my e-box with a Garmin network.
Good idea!

The back area of the console is a perfect place to mount a stereo system (both the deck and 6" speakers). I will post a photo later this weekend of the installed a made on my 2004 210. Everything fit like a dream and by using a piece of Starboard, I was able to mount the entire system outside of the boat and insert the whole system at once. I decided to use the 1/2" Starboard so that it would be more rigid, as the back wall of the console is rather thin and since the waters off of Galveston always seem to 3' with 4 second intervals, (actually was in 4' by 3.8 sec last weekend, and the system never wiggled) it was going to take a pounding. There was only one glitch to the whole install, it appears the system I bought (a sony package) didnt come with mag shielded speakers, as I am now forever heading South according to my factory installed compass!
