new triumph issues

My friend and I bought a demo triumph together last week, a 210cc,
when we got home we noticed there was no owners manual, and the dealer
told us there was some 3m 94 primer in boat, there wasn't and I can't find it anywhere. Then we took the boat out and noticed the fuel gauge works very poorly, the bilge pump was shot, both of the chair swivles and bases, were
either broken or just didn't work, and that the dealer had taken off the rear coaming pads and I guess either put them on a different boat, or sold them,
Are these typical issuse on a demo boat with less than a hundered hours, or have we just been had by a triumph dealer, luckily I can fix all these things, I'm just hoping everything else is alright, If anyone knows where to get the 94 primer, it would be appreciated so we can get are CA stickers put on Thanks in advance

Why not make a list of the things you've mentioned here and call the dealer about them? They may surprise you and take care of them. Even my new boat had some little items that needed attention. I made a list, called my dealer and there were great at taking care of them.

Was it a 2007 or earlier model? Your dealer probably has the 94 primer but if not you can order it online from Merritt Marine in their Ship Store off this page.

Lingster - since we are almost neighbors, I thought I'd chime in. Sounds like you had a poor dealer experience. #1. The owners manual is pretty top level but I can understand why you'd like one. You can contact Triumph or you can arrange to get mine and photocopy. #2. 3M Primer can be found at Merrit Marine (see link on main page of triumphowners forum (or other places via websearch) Get the Stick size. #3. You'll have to diagnose your bilge - could be debris, bad wire, switch. A good dealer would have ensured this worked for sure. A few have replaced with non-internal float switches for reliability. #4 Don't know about your gas gauge - I had to replace mine after about a year (bought used) - was acting erratic then wouldn't register - corroded wires at the sender - corrosion I believe caused by a flooded deck when the bilge pump didn't go on, #5. When used in salt, the chairs require some grease maintenance - my swivel pins (stainless inside aluminum) seized with corrosion and I had to replace the entire seat pan mechanism (bought from Merritt) as I sheared off the hex post threads when trying to disassemble. #6 - Definitely should have full bolsters. I'm sure you are frustrated, but after you get over these hurdles I think you'll like the boat and know what to watch for/do to avoid some of these types of things......Barry

Like what he said, I am sure the dealer should come to terms on the broken / missing parts. Afterall it is a new boat with WARRENTIES and he should make good. UNLESS you bought as is....that could be a problem. As for the seat, one thing I learn a bit TOO LATE is certain things need LUBED My seats are corroded and froze due to that electrolis and salt water Here is a tip, if you have a aluminum T-top, be sure to lube once a year with Corrosion X it keeps the nasty pits away.
