What is this???

I had just taken the boat back to the dealer for an inop fual gauge. The wiring to the sender was not connected. After I got it back and went out boating I discovered a loose piece of stainless steel tubing in my bilge. It's about 3 feeet long and looks to be about 7/8 inch or maybe 1 inch tubing. The end that I can grab is cut at an angle and is ground down. There isn't any bolt holes or flanges on the tubing. It's just flopping around in there. Any ideas of what this is? Is it a structural piece that worked loose? I'm thinking it was left in there by accident either at the factory or at the dealer when they did the fuel gauge wiring. I can't get it out without pulling up the deck becuase it's too long to pull through the access hatch. The dealer said to bring it back but thats a 2 hour drive one way and I don't feel up for it any time soon.

Thanks for the input!!!

That should be the support for your deck. You'll have to pull up the deck and reinstall it for proper support. You should see two areas (one on each side of the hatch) that the tubing fits in. Good Luck.
