One day I had a friend on the boat who had never seen a GPS. We were comming into Boothbay habor in Maine at about 18knts while I was showing him the chanel markers. The Coast Gaurd does a good job because when I zoomed back in the can was right where it should be , dead in front of me . Before I could look up we hit. There was only a small rub mark on the bow. We waved to the other 10 boat who seemed to be quite intrested and kept going. He was amazed there was no damage, so was I.

Hit a submerged wing dam on the Delaware river, put a hole in my lower unit on the Honda, we were tetering back and forth. The boat was almost high and dry. Called the Tow boat he say a hour or so. Well a huge tanker goes by and his wake gently pushes off the dam. limped back to port, took the gears out of the lower unit slapped some marine tech on the hole and was back out the next day for the catfish tournament. Bottom of the boat was scraped a little, if it was fiberglass we would have taken on water no doubt.
