any solutions to mounting a trolling motor on a 210

Has anybody found a solution to mounting a trolling motor on a 210 without removing the bow rail? I know this subject has been discussed before but I haven't been able to find any threads that actually have a solution

As I recall there have been one or two guys that have used the trolling motors that mount on trim tabs. They also make trolling motor that mounts on the cavatation plate of your motor. I dont konw much about them, but have seen them.

I've seen the ones for trim tabs. I don't have tabs on my boat yet but that is an option. I wonder if mounting on the tabs would affect the performance? What I'm really interested in is whether or not anybody has figured out a trolling motor bow mounting system that does not include removing the bow rails.

I've been interested in those too Dave. But since we have a swim platform and the kids love to ski I probably won't be going that route. Very cool though.

I'm considering those more for maneuvering into my dock. We are on a shallow backwater creek, plenty of depth but lots of muck getting stirred up. I dock with the motor trimmed up but fear sucking up the cloud of muck in the water pump.

O K those tabs are extremely cool. Does the trolling motor affect the performance of the boat?

I just got my 215 out of storage and am going to attempt to mount a motorguide 75# salt water trolling motor on the bow. There is 15 inches of clearance between the bow rail and the bow sprit. By fully extending the shaft of the motor before raising or lowering there should be enough clearance. Hope to do this in the next month. I will use the removable mounting plate so I can remove when not in use.

It appears to me that they would not effect the performance, when trolling they would be down all the way. When not in use the tabs would be trimmed up putting the trolling motors behind the transom and possibly out of the water.
