fuel sending unit location
Trying to locate sending unit in fuel tank. I have an 2002 21' center consle
Is the sending unit located under the center console or under the deck that the live well in on? Any problems getting to it? Fuel gauge isn't working. I think I have a bad ground and need to clean terminals. Thanks for any Help |

Jim,
Dave is correct. The sending unit is visible once you lift the rear deck plate. First time you do that it will be sticky and you will have to pry up on it. There is some black sticky tape material under the plate to seal it better to the deck. Don't worry about sealing it real good when you replace the deck plate. You will have it up again for other things sooner or later. Codfish |

Thanks Putershark & Codfish.
I found that the ground on the sending unit go directly to the battery and I had changed out the batterys a couple of weeks ago and missed hooking that groung wire back up. Thanks Again. ![]() |
