drift fishing

Does your 210 spin on the stern when trying to set up a drift? thinking to much weight in the rear I've tried it several times and no matter what I do it will not drift parralell to the current or wind, thinking maybe flooding the front fish boxes to compinsate for the weight of the bait tank and motor and fuel to keep from spinning

If it is a slow drift she will drift okay that way.....however the stronger the drift then the bow points into the drift....kinda like when you see all the boats moored out in a bay, the bow allways points with the tide. I thinks it is normal.

It is completely normal, I drift fish over wrecks in the Gulf of Mexico constantly and yes boats will spin on their stern in a current. It does not matter what make you have. This is why most boats are set up to fish from the rear. The only thing I do now, since my triumph seems to spin so quickly, is turn her to the side I want.

try using a drift sock. that will keep you pointed in the same direction. works for me anyway.
