Trolling Motor 55lb Thrust on a 210

I have a Minn Kota 55lb thrust motor that I want to put on my 210. Does anyone know if this is enough to push my boat (normal load) around a lake, 1-2mph?

Little Casino has a motor mounted trolling motor I believe is 55lb thrust. it seems to move his 210 around just fine at around 2mph. I just bought a minn kota rip tide 80lb thrust motor mount for mine. Not mounted yet so I cant say how well it will move my 210

How does your boat do with the 80lb? Do you have a T-Top?

Thanks.

That was acutally my thread. I'm still fishing for more info. I'm going through the same bow rail, trolling motor, thrust issues that so many have gone through before me with the 210/215. I know that some have sucessfully mounted the motorguide 75# bow mount while leaving the bow rail intact, but I just can't believe that 75# will be enough to keep me off the rocks with the t-top in addition to the Pacific's wind and current. It's not like I'm fishing the delta or the gulf. I have thoughts of using the autopilot to hold the boat in place while fishing 350' in 15 knots of wind and 2-4' swells. I also want to be able to run bass style down rocky shorelines in similiar conditions without the fear of ending up on the rocks. In my thinking, that leaves me with the minn kota riptide 36V as my only solid choice. Unfortunately, no posts mention sucessful 210/215 (with bow rail) bow mount installations of the minn kota. Please reply if you have mounted the riptide on this boat while leaving the bow rail intact.

Thanks.
