Weigh Scale for 210 and Trailer

I have installed the transom plug to drain the water from the inner hull and so far (about 4mo ago) 6-3gallon buckets came out of it via a very slow drip over about 4weeks. However, I still think there is more water near the bow that can't make its way to the transom drain plug as my gas milage is very low, probably 2-3 gallons with a Yamaha 4-stroke 115 by myself running 4500-5000 RPM's.

Does anyone know of a scale I can go to to weigh my whole rig, trailer and all so I can do some sort of reasonableness test to see if there is a load of water still in my boat?....I know the weight of the boat, trailer, motor and rigging....

Try a truck stop. Go in and tell them what you want to do. Some will charge a fee and some have a courtesy scale for the drivers.

Since you're in Huntington you could drive into Ontario - there are a couple of truck stops with scales right off the 10 Freeway just West of the 15 Freeway.

also, my boat has a 115 merc, with her trimmed out to her best performance, I still only average 2.85 miles to the gallon. I can live with that. Am I jealous of others who get more>>>>>>OH heck yeah.

Just curious here, but if I am reading this correct, you have your 210 powered with a 115 4 stroke? So has your mileage gone down or has it always been at this level? If the same, your mileage (seems about right) is because your boat is slightly under powered as the motor is working harder to push the boat. I was amazed at the jump in mileage I recieved when I switched from the 130 honda to the 150. It was close to a 30% increase. Also the cruising rpms you listed are a little high for getting the best mileage most 4 strokes get there best economy from around 4000 to 4500 rpms. I have a hunch though you are having trouble maintaining a decent speed at this rpm. Again this would cause a reduction in expected mileage.

If you still think you have water in the forward inner hull area, then the boat should be running bow down all the time. So I would put her back in the water and see how she is sitting.
