Well, I haven't shared my thoughts with my wife soooo I will be sleeping inside.

PS, my wife is pregnant, if I told her she caused the filament to break by driving the truck and empty trailer down a bumpy country road at 50mph, sleeping with the dogs outside would be pleasant.

Back sometime ago, I replaced the front running light with a LED unit. The only problem is, that it's not as bright as the original bulb. I had also changed out the 'running lights on a stick' with a model that is on the deck and uses a Festoon bulb.
See http://www.superbrightleds.com/festoon.html for some applications. I noticed that they have added some newer models, maybe some with more power?
I replaced the deck lights with LED bulbs and it makes a big difference. Do a search on this site about LED bulbs.

I tried replacing my brake lights in my truck with a set of LED replacement bulbs and you could barely see them during the day.

I added the ALM-R-A3 - http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/alm.htm - 3 led accent light under the shifter of my center console to light the area where you stand and another to light the inside of the center console. I agree the do make a big difference in lighting. Now I can see all the stuff I drop at my feet

Maybe I need to do that instead of going on a diet like the wife wants me to.
Once it hits the deck it is usually gone......
