Keel Guards?

I know Triumph's are tough, but has anyone ever installed or thought about installing a keel guard for a little more protection?

Yes but....though I do beach her from time to time. She will get stained.and get scatches from the sand or DG from the lakes...so perhaps the keel guard will stop that process...and keep the boat looking new longer.

The keel guard won't stay on. It will appear to at first but will peel off in time.

Have you tried a keel gaurd? ...Even after applying a nice coating of 94 primer, you think it will still come off in time. Because... the reason being, I do and have to beach my rig sometimes, and unfortunately the bottom contour in most situations isnt very keel friendly.

I have beached my 210 a couple times in Fl. nice sandy beach and one rather rugg with shells. no problem form either. I once even ran it up on oyster cover rocks and all I got was some shallow scratches easily fixed.

keel guard

This may be silly but since the keel guards are virtually the same material couldn’t you weld it on???

Talking

Welp, Im going to blow the keel gaurd ideal off. Thanks for the input guys, and K9 Reno I remember hearing about you running into a reef from the guys at Bell Marine and how you fixed the your rig with a propane torch,"Is there truth to the repair" The reason being is that I have already repaired some scrathes myself with a torch, and you cant even tell where they was!
