Few things I'd change on my new 215CC

I've been out fishing 6 times (Wilmington, NC) so far on my new 215...and absolutely love it! The ride is smooth, it handles the waves well; yes I've been airborne too many times....and the 150 yammie does great! Boy, it's quite. I love the console design, the fish boxes, just about everything.........but I would have a better design for the back seats - the portion that is veritical - as they slide down on some metal brackets and are NOT very positive in the attachment. Sorta loosey goosey. I've tried to bend a little to create more tension - but no good.

The gunnel pads that you lean on while fishing are also loosey-goosey - same design......I'll have to doctor this up a little I guess....

I'd try to design the fix boxes so they drain more positively to the back and don't hold any water.....but that's no biggy and I know they do make fish box sleeves.

Other than that...........really no complaints. Everything has worked well...........love fillin' those fix boxes.

those loosy goosy items are far better than the older style I have on my o3. I have looked at up grading to those type of seat backs and combing bolsters, but the money issues is always around.

Seat backs

The "loosey Goosey" seat backs never bothered me until I lost one on the freeway last summer. I would work on getting them firmly attached. They are about $165 each. I lost my bow seat cushion 3 days ago because the snaps were loose. They were on my to do list but I didn't get that far down. I am sure that will be another $150+.

I tend to not trailer with my cushions in place. I had a bag made that holds all my boats cushions. it only takes a couple minutes to put them in place and I can choose which ones to put in if I dont feel the need for all of them. it also helps me store them for the winter and they stay a lot dryer not being in the boat all the time. I had a real problem getting them to dry out after a good rain. Not a problem any more.
