I am sure it varies with the manufacture of the engine. My yamaha hpdi did not come with an hour meter. I had the dealer add a meter the last time I had the motor serviced. They hooked it up to the computer and found the sad fact that my motor only had 88 hours on it in the 3.5 yrs I had the boat. Man I need to fish more. I now have almost 100 hrs. hahaa (:

Howdy neighbor! As K9 stated you can take it to your dealer for service and they will be able to tell you how many hours you have on it. Putting an hour meter is a great addition to the boat as all of your mainenance items are based on hours of use. Which make of motor do you have as I am swapping out gauges and might have a honda hour meter available for cheap

Hey K9, do you just keep your boat around for a lawn decorations? Heck I have 161 hours on the new motor that I got in Sept of 06.

Hours on Yamaha 115HP 4-Stroke

Our 2004 210 CLE lives at Freeport, TX in Dry Storage, so it looks like it needs to take a trip to Houston for a Guage. We were hoping that it already had a guage somewhere, but maybe not

Much obliged for your replies

Looks like this could be a helpful tool to have.

I hear ya, I didnt even have 20 hours on the motor until after Feb of this year as the fishing sucks around here from sept.to march. Every run I make offshore is another 4-5 hours so they add up fast.
