New 215 comes out of the wrapper Monday!
My new 215CC comes out of the plastic wrapper at the dealer Monday. I'll be there for it's "birth". Can't wait.
Last week I went out on the bay with the boat store owner on another 2007 215CC outfitted the same as mine. What a joy to drive. A few swells at the mouth to the ocean soon had us in the air. Oh I waited for the CRACK and SLAP I was used to when my glass boat landed after it came down from only a few inches out of the water. The Triumph was so quiet and smooth. The store owner kept telling me to quit smiling. Here's another question: I'm mounting a Raymarine radar to my T-top and would like to hear how others mounted their's. I'll be using Raymarine's 5 inch tall aft leaning tower and I guess I'll be mounting it to a couple of fore and aft brackets between the 1 inch tubes in the middle of the top. Any other suggestions? I was there for the birth of mine and what a beautiful site to see and I have had a smile on my face ever since then. I don't have radar so I can't help with your question but use the search engine on thit site and you will find threads that can help. There is a nice article also about radar insulation on a 210/215.
Congratulations on your new boat and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. Be safe and Good Luck, Bob |

Your going to love your new boat. I just got back from my first blue water with my 215. I have about 27hrs on the motor now and I am still amazed at how awesome this boat is. Best of luck and keep an update on the radar. Good seas and tight lines.

The boat is great...
I test drove one last week and it just made things worse. Now it seems like forever before mine will be finished.
The radar was easier than first though. 17 inch long, 3 inch wide and 3/8 in thick aluminim brackets on top of the t-top bolted down and the radar antenna on top of that. We had to take the canvas off for the brackets then the canvas went back on and the radar on top of that. Then, there is an overhead electronics box up inside the t-top for storage and it also covers the brackets. All wires went down the tubes of the t-top. Triumph put fish lines in both aft down tubes of the top. Not a wire to be seen. A very clean install. Life's good. Thanks for the help and any more adivce is appreciated. I'll post a photo or two in the future after I get it home, or in the water. Thanks again, Martin Abshire |

Hey Trooper1,
I saw that your location is the bay. I am itchng for my first trip to the bay with my 215 and I was glad to hear yours handles well. The dealer told me it would handle great and it was built for these waters. However I was talking to a guy at a marina who was a previous owner and said it was too light for bay or ocean waters unless it was unusually calm....and you know how fast that changes. |
