Scupper pickup/baitwell pump leaking

Hi Guys
Put 8hrs on our new 215 last week and took it in to the dealer, and was wondering if any of you have had problems with the scupper pickup being installed crooked. Mine is not lined up with the centerline, are they supposed to be? The leaks and the baitwell pump is like a small fountain. Is this the stadard quality? The dealer is working on it but when I am 25 miles offshore I really do not want to test the hull floatation. Thanks in advance for any help. If you have a picture of the scupper on the underside it would be great. They are telling me it looks normal to them. Other than a couple other minor issues the boat seems to handle extremely well for the west coast.

1John,

Are you talking about the bronze through hull that is the bait well drain cover? Or something else? Mine is in line with the center line of the hull. Hope that helps. The only other through hull fitting on '04 210CC is the pickup for the baitwell/washdown. The "cutout" portion of that round fitting should face forward so it can siphon water easier while the boat is in motion.

Did you buy from Verle's? I did 3.5 years ago.

I would need to see a picture to be sure, but the thru hulls are at a angle at it follows the angle of hull. If you are under the boat and looking at it, a little twist shouldnt hurt it. But if the dealer has to pull it to re seal it with elastmeric, then they could turn it to your liking (I would think). As for standard quality no, at least with my 04 210 this has never been an issue.
