Bilge pump

Well my bilge pump broke on my 02 210 and i had to replace it. When i removed the mounting screws water started bubbling out of the holes, i guess i took about 3 to 4 gallons of water from the bilge until it started to slow down. Well i panicked and i installed the inner hull drain and it dripped for about 3 days. The installation of the inner hull drain went with out any problems. i guess i am asking if anyone else had this problem and did i void my warranty by doing the inner hull drain myself.

This post may belong somewhere else please move if it does.

I had a similar issue with my ole 2000 210, the transom drain took care of the problem. Just make sure when you re-install the new pump you use a lot of elastmeric.

I had mine fixed last year on that issue. merrit added what looked like a 3/8 starboard piece under the pump I suppose to help keep the screws from over penitrating when they remounted it. I also had the transome drain put in. no water issues anymore
