Winterizing

I hope we are along way from cold weather, but last winter I had my boat serviced and winterized and let it sit til spring. This year I hope to do some fishing up to Dec or so. In the case of a cold snap what do you do? I have heard some guys say they do nothing with their motor but what about the wash down and livewell? I know everyone does not winterize it between trips!
Thanks

having lived arround the country where we would fish all year long, snow on the ground while pulling bass out of the power plant lakes, just make very very sure that the water gets drained real well out of the lower unit when done, tilt, and drip all the way down , ect several times"slowlyshaking it" to get all the water out..if you get water stuck in the lower unit when it decides to freeze on a night after fishing it can really screw up the lower unit .ice has some strong breaking power.
