good deal

I have decided to purchase a 21' Triumph. I got a quote from a dealer for a 2007 21' with a 150 e-tec for 31k plus tax. The package includes.

bow cushion, fishing package, cd player, T-Top

Does this sound reasonable? Thanks

Check out the Forum dealers here, Boathouse discount superstore has a couple for under 30$ just for a guidline for you.
Unless the savings are substantial and your willing to travel to Fla or some other state you may be able to work out a equal deal without the travel expense from your local dealer, good luck.

Having purchased a boat from a dealer 3 hours away and one from a dealer 1 hour away, I can say buy close. I can't stress enough how important having a good relationship with a dealer you trust is even if you have to drive a little ways. Congratulations on the 215. Post some pictures when you get her in the water!

Really, the question is "Cichlid, does this sound reasonable to you?" After all, it's you that has to be pleased. If you're happy with the deal and the dealer is happy with the deal, then it's a good deal. Both sides win. If you think it's too much $$ then it's not a good deal. Everything else is just an opinion....and worth exactly what you pay for it.

Good luck with your new boat.

Thanks for the responses. I ask because I am seeing such a huge price difference between identical boats, sometimes as much as 10k!.

Chuck, if I was in the market for a car I could got to about 20 Ford dealerships in my area and price compare, the competition would assure I am getting a fair deal. Not so much with boats. There is one Triumph dealership two hours away from me and another over three hours. So its more important I know what these boats are really worth before I begin negotiating.
