Catalina Island Overnight

On the Friday morning after thanksgiving I took advantage of the kind offer of my parents to take care of our three kids for a night or two. So my wife and I launched the boat and headed over to Catalina Island for a quick getaway. I had made a reservation at a nice hotel, considering this is also our 10 year anniversary weekend.

The ride over was nice and we made good time after a pleasant breakfast at Dana Point harbor. This was my wife's time in Avalon, so I wanted her to have a great experience for our anniversary. I let her spend a bunch of money in the shops and then we had a great dinner at Steve's steakhouse. I had arrainged for a table overlooking the harbor. Yes I scored some points with the wife.

Unfortunately the next day, we had head home early as we needed to get the kids around noon from my parents house. The ride back was pleasant also, we even found a nice pod of dolphins willing to put on a show for my wife.

Yes this was one of those weekends when it all came together perfectly.

Yes, another good example as to why folks should buy a boat sooner in life than we did.

Thanks for sharing.
