Hey ILLOGICAL / Scupper question ?

Illogical,
I saw your photo of the quack scupper mod and read your comment on them not working well and you planned to change them to the rabud style. How are those working out? I thought the quackers looked promising.
My scuppers stay completely submerged and I need a tighter seal.

Thanks!

The Rabuds Are The Way To Go .. The Duckbills Worked Fine When New But Later They Were Letting Water In Worse Than The Th Brand Ball Scups That Were On It When I Bought The Boat . I Think There Is So Much Space That The Balls Can Move Around In On The Th Brand That It Contributes To The Deforming Of The Seal The Ball Seats Against And They Start To Fail. The Rabuds Are Smaller With Less Free Room For The Ball To Beat Around In.

As I Stated In An Earlier Post, The Older 210 Cc Models With The Larger Fuel Tanks And Four Strokes Cause These Boats To Squat Below The Splashwell Drain Holes And The Rabuds Seal Out The Water From Backflowing Into The Splashwell And Then To The Deck And Eventually Into The Rear Fish Boxes. I Have Decided To Keep A Spare Bilge Pump With Alligator Clips And Hose Long Enough To Get Overboard Should The Rabuds Fail And The Main Bilge Pump Fail----redundant ,redundunt Daggonnit!!!!
