215CC Dry Weight?

Hi Guys
Trying to verify the weight on the 215CC. Does anyone know what is included in the 2300lb dry weight Triumph advertises? Is it a complete boat minus fuel, engine and trailer? Or is it supposed to be the weight out of the mold with nothing installed? Any help would be great.

John

Here are some numbers.

This boat feels heavier than I anticipated I think I know why, it is.
There is no water in the hull either, coming out the drains.

Does anyone know if this a typical weight?

1John,

It has been a while since I weighed my '04 210CC with 140 Suzuki but it is very similar to your weights mentioned. My total weight has been around 4,200 to 4,400 depending on the fuel load and other fishing gear on board at the time.

I know my boat does not just pop off the trailer when launching so I do not consider it a "light" boat by any means. It does have a heavy rear end but I think that helps it land softer in the trough when the going is a little rough.

Does that help?

Thanks Codfish

Being this is the only one I have been in, I am just trying to make sure it is all perfect. I hate being 20-30 miles offshore to find out I did something wrong. It makes for long days.

1John,

Our 2005 210CC, Yamaha F150, on a Rolls Axle Trailer and a tank full of gas weighs in at 4,585 pounds. If we loaded it up with ice, gear, food, drinks, etc., we probably are real close to 5,000 pounds.

Hope this helps.

Good breakdown on the weight, 1John.

When I bought my Triumph almost a year ago, I had a Chevy Colorado that was rated to tow 4000 lbs. It got the boat home, but I had to keep the RPMs up around 3,500 most of the way. That was with only 10 gallons of gas in the tank.

I quickly upgraded to a full size truck once I calculated I'd bust the rated towing capacity on the Colorado once I topped off the Triumph's fuel tank.
