My 215CC's One Year Anniversary!

The big February boat show was this past weekend, making it a full year since that fateful day my wife and I stood on the plastic deck of that 215CC, and she looked at me and said "You know..." -and it was all over but signing on the dotted line!

Due to an unusual amount of overtime at work, coupled with a drought that drained all the local watering holes within a 1 1/2 hour driving distance, we only logged about 32 engine hours over our first year.

It was fun going back to the boat show as an owner after so many years of window shopping. As we examined this year's boat offerngs from all the different makers, we compared them to our benchmark - the one sitting in our driveway. I must say our Triumph is really wearing well with us, as there wasn't a hint of wanderlust for the glass boats.

Cheers!

Swamp Bear , I know how you feel.I'm on my second Triumph now. I bought a new 2004 170CC and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed that boat. I just purchased a 2008 195CC the end of Nov. We've put only a little more than the break in hours on it due to the winter months. We are both excited about the coming season.I live in Wilmington,NC so I've been fortunate to have the salt water instead of the drought problem. My brother lives in Huntersville NC by Lake Norman. He says he's seen grown men cry about the low water levels. I hope you're able to put a lot more hours on your boat this year.

Swamp Bear, just like fridaysoff, I also am on my second Triumph, a 190 Bay. This is the fourth boat that I've owned, and I'm well pleased with it. It's big enough to fish with several people on board, but not too big that I can't take it out myself.

Fortunately, I don't have the problem with no water, only the low water during the winter months due to the Northerly winds and low tides. But, even under those conditions, there is still plenty of places to go fishing.
