The feedback is great.

The only pump is a modest bilge pump. No ball valves.

To date, my only concerns with the Logic is water getting into the boat and being difficult to get it out. I think I'm heading in the right direction taking care of these issues; my plan is to chip-away at them.

I guess in the early years they just hadn't quite worked out all the snags. I still think it's going to serve my purposes well. Regards -

I Cannot Imagine Your Boat Not Having A Thru Hull Drain For The Bilge Area. Or Not Having A Livewell Pump As Well Unless It Was Requested Not To Be Done By The Original Owner At The Time Of Manufacture, I Believe I Would Contact Modern And See If The Can Put You A Drain In On Triumphs Dime

I'm definitely going to get to the "bottom" of this as priority 1 when I get to Mobile, AL in two weeks. Maybe I just missed it or it's grunged over. And it sounds like nearly all the other similar boats have a water feed for the baitwell too. Once I get to the bottom of this, I will let you know. I'm going to take pictures too if there isn't a bottom drain. Have a great weekend -

All The More Reason To Get A Big Ole Access Door Back There To Be Able To Look Around!!!

As You See In The Logic Section There Are Many Issues That Need To Be Looked Into With The Older Models. There Needs To Come A Time To Pull That Rear Floor Plate Up And Check Out The Following: Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Condition, rule Covering The Ss Stringer Strapping In The Centerline, relocating Ss Bar Closer To 90 Degree Fuel Fitting, raise Bilge Pump To Keep It From Rubbing The Rule Off The Ss Strapping, And I Am Sure I Forgot Some Others.. Just Remember All Long Screws Go On The Outside Holes Or You Will Puncture The Fuel Tank!!

interesting, I am not sure I have that drain either. any water that gets in my boat just goes out with the auto bilge pump so I've never thought or worried about it. unless the battery was off that controls the bilge would I have a problem but its always on.

However on my Logic the fish boxes drain straight out thru the hull, I modified the drain plugs as many of us did and they always work fine! I usually leave them open when out of water and put back in when heading out on the water, if I leave boat in the water and boxes fill up with water, just pull out the plugs while moving and the boxes will drain then put the plugs back in while still moving, this is hard if you are solo(dangerous too since someone needs to be on the helm)

for some reason they changed these to drain into the bilge area on later models.

Hello Illogical,

I just got back from Mobile, AL for a quick trip out on my boat.

I searched all over, and I don't have a bottom drain. It's kinda odd to me.

What this means is that if the boat were stored uncovered, it would fill-up with rainwater to the level of the scuppers. The boat has a manual bilge pump (I am definitely going to put on a float switch).

Thanks again for the thoughts -

Hello NC Angler,

I just got back from Mobile, AL where I keep my boat.

I search all over for a bottom drain. One does not exist. Really kinda odd to me.

I keep it covered, so it's not to big of a problem other than washdown. If it weren't covered, it would fill up to the scupper level with rainwater. The bilge pump isn't even automatic (but I'm going to change that).

Nonetheless, I'm going to get the boat over to the dealer in Mississippi and have them put in a bottom drain and see what they suggest for the fish/dry boxes.

Thanks again for your thoughts.

Triumph 215 2006 Chaos for sale

Scott,

I listed my 2006 215 Chaos for sale last week. I hate to sell the boat but I need some capital for my new business and hate to borrow it. I plan to buy a 190 Bay next year. Anyway, I created a web page with some photos of features and modifications I made to my boat. There is one photo towards the bottom of the page in the center of the Macerator pump in the bilge and you can see where the bilge drain plug should be located in that shot. Here is the photo page:
http://www.triumphowners.net/215Chaos/Chaos.html

That particular photo is here: http://www.triumphowners.net/215Chao...s/Image19.html
You can barely see the drain but it is unplugged and is just above the red bilge pump and under the macerator hose.

I'll take a little administrative license here and for anyone interested in getting a great deal on a one of a kind Triumph (really!) check out the ad:
