Anyone ever add a second bildge pump?
Just winterized my '04 210 and was wondering... I do alot of crabbing in the summer months along with my fishing, I noticed when we concentrate people at the rear of the boat, some water seems to get into the bildge and the pump cycles off and on oocasionally. I know thats pretty normal but I always feel better with "redundency". Anyone add a second pump on their 210? If so, where did you put it? Great to have another web site, this forum looks great.

The bilge pump power in my '03 210 is connected with a snap connector.
It could be replaced in just a couple of minutes. Consider just carrying a spare. This would be easier than rigging the plumbing for two parallel pumps. GEAUX TIGERS! |

Something I've done on all the boats I ever owned is simply attaching a hose to the pump long enough to reach from the bilge to over the side, and alligator clips on the neg/pos leads. Just throw the pump into the bilge and attach the clips and your are in business in just a minute or two.
It will also work as a back up pump for the bait tank in a emergency. |
