My rig is a 190 Bay with the Honda 130. My prop size is 3X13.25X17. I use the aluminum Honda prop that costs about $120 to $130. If you go with a non-OEM prop, you will likely need to buy a hub assembly so that it fits. So any savings from purchasing, say a Michigan, is normally equalized by the hub purchase. The 210 weighs more than the 190 so others here may be of more help on adjusting the size from the above to accomodate your boat. Also, some dealers allow for you to try a couple of sizes prior to purchase.

algee: Honda 130 prop

I have had my Logic/Triumph 210 for two years now and have tried several props due to unfortunate low water conditions here in the great lakes. I have tried the same size 13 1/4 x 15 in both aluminum and the new piranah plastic prop, both with the same results. I am achieving about 30 mph with either prop .. with a clean bottom. As I leave my boat in the water for 6 months at a time, I get a coat of algae that I try to clean off every 2 - 3 months. When the bottom is green, I can only get it up to 20 - 22 mph. Cleanliness is next to speedliness. The aluminum prop did get me up to speed a whole lot faster than the plastic, but I made a few other changes, so the results may not mean as much. One additional note; I have had since new, a plastic fin affixed to my motor and this may have some effect on getting to speed, but not the final speed rating.
I too am interested in anyone else with a 130 Honda and different props being used. I do currently have one benifit with my Pirannah...each blade costs $17.00 so I might just try to change prop sizes with a minimum of expense.

Though I had a 200 HDPI on my 210 when I sold it, I do have a Honda 150 on my 190. Both boats had / have jack plates and I have had good sucess with these inexpensive yet very versatile props. You can keep working with the pitch till you find the right combo for you boat under all types of condations and fuel loads.

You can buy them a West Marine and for the price really hard to beat. Once you get your pitch set for the best all around performance, one could then (if needed and you have the extra cash) buy a Stainless prop of the same type and pitch "if" you need that extra knot or so of top speed that it (the stainless model) may or may not return.

Enjoy!
Dave

45 mph 130 Honda - no way on a 210

no way are you getting 45 mph with a 130 honda on a 210! I have a 200 HPDI Yammie and it tops out at 48 mph on the GPS speedometer.

I have been running a 15.5X15 aluminum prop that came with my 2003 Honda 130. I have a 21 with aT-Top and was getting about 35 MPH WOT . I just bought a 15.25X16 Stainless prop on E BAY. I'll try it this week and let you know how it works.

I tried my new SS 15.25X16 prop yesterday. It ran about 37 MPH (GPS) at WOT and the hole shot seemed to be about the same as the old aluminum prop. But it sure looks pretty!!
