New 215

I had my 00 210 Logic down for service on a crack on left side of transom. I walked away with a new 08 215. Is there any significant differance between the two boats, or am just going to be smiling more with the new one?

Wow there's a ton of room for interpretation there.... Was this a warranty claim ("Lifetime Limited Hull Warranty"), or was this a job of making you a deal since you were there?

No, the Logic warrenty was not carried over. The crack is very repairable, but the motor has to come off( $$). The dealer made me an offer and every question was answered made the deal sweeter. So the deal was made. All the things I wanted to do to the old boat were on the new one, so as we added improvement cost it was harder and harder to say no. So with my wife at my side we said yes.

Smile In the Water

I picked up the new 215 yesterday form Hooked on the Bay. Again I can not say enough about theses guys. Even thought I traded a 210 logic with Honda power I got a in depth orientation to the new one. My wife and I left the lot at 2pm and where in the water by 3pm after spending a small fortune at the gas station. We are out again today for more fishing and fun. I will post more comparisons soon. Pictures are of old boat , new one with staff from Hooked on the Bay, First launch and some cat fish from North East river off Chesapeake Bay.

Picture to follow need it figure it out...My wife says fishing more important than posting pictures.

Congrats on the new 215. Looks like you all run in my neck of the woods, maybe we will see you soon on the NE River or Chesapeake Bay.

Second day out in 215

Out again today and have some observations. Boat does so much better with the 150. With the weight difference motor 100lbs less and what will be 15 gals gas less when I fill it, it’s up on plan quicker and cruise 5MPH faster at same RPM. The T-Top makes for great shade. I had problem with a wet deck on the 00 coming in from scuppers that has seemed to be corrected with the 08. Another great addition is power steering. But I’m not sure new cables in the 00 would not have improved its ease of steering (they were locked at onset of season), power steering is great in close quarters. There is more motor noise at speed, may be T-Top allowing more sound to come forward. Still can’t here either Honda idle. Over all I am very happy with my new 08 set up. With all the great support from this site I recommend any year Triumph/Logic that comes with right deal base on what a person can afford these are GREAT Boats. I can not say enough about my local dealer.

Thanks all for help over the past 3 years looking forward to many more.

Gregg
