The Suzuki will run up to 6000rpm. Typically with a light load she will get the 35mph with 5000rpm

Are you guys getting your speed form a GPS or the speedometer.

Our speedometer is typically faster than the GPS

My old analog speedometer was off by more than 7mph at speed. But the new speedometer and digital gauge is right on the money as confirmed by GPS.

The Kts convert accurately but when I was done with the trip for the day I looked back on my trip log on my GPS is showed 39 kts. That's almost 47 mph.

I did my homework when it came to changing props and I can honestly state "you get what you pay for". I went with the Yamaha relilance series 17px14.25" to replace the 19p aluminum. I would get the 43mph advertised speed but it was sluggish out of the hole and I was working the throttle offshore. 5200-5300rpm was the best I could do with the aluminum and it would cavitate above that or in turns and wouldn't hold speed in the heavy seas.

The 17p 14.25 SS Reliance feels like I added another 20-30 HP and understood by the extra 800 rpm that was never seen before. It grips well in turns and feels like I repowered the boat. My fishing buddies agree. Now I'm not working the throttle offshore and based on my numbers I'm confident in the performance and efficency in the motor. I would highly recommend this to anyone who owns a 215 with the F150.
I have replaced my prop with a Yamaha SS Reliance 17" prop, and just a Mark stated, it feels like I added 30 - 40 HP to the engine. On my 2007 215 CC, with a T-Top and a Yamaha F-150, the motor now tops out at 5500 RPM and I am getting around 45 MPH with a full load of fuel, full bait tank, and 3 lardasses in the boat. It feels like a new motor in the boat, average speed is 25 MPH at 3800 RPM while getting 3.5 MPG. This new prop added changed my range from 200 miles to 250 miles. I cruised from Channel Island harbor around Anacapa island and back to the loading ramp and used 10 gallons of fuel.

Thanks for the suggestion Mark, the prop was a little pricey but well worth it considering I have tried Solas aluminum 17" P 3 blade, and a SS Solas 4 blade 17" P, both came no where near the performance and fuel stats that I am currently seeing. Needless to say, if anyone would like to buy a 4 blade SS Solas 17" P, I have one for sale. :-)
