Hi Gregg,
I am about to ditch the current rope and chain and install a 12 volt electric drum winch inside the rhode locker. It will hold around 350ft of rope and 20ft of chain but will require a bow roller to be installed at the point where the chain turns vertical before entering the locker ... the roller I have in mind also has a pin to secure the anchor chain, solving another problem ![]() I am sure there is a manufacturers phone number (and maybe a website?) on my anchor ... i'll check it tomorrow and let you know. Lewmar make a very similar one ... except for the price

Saw pictures and looks like a great anchor and can not wait is see upgrades. Searched for South Coast Marine and found this on a other web page. Also having problems finding Kodiac Anchors. Do you remember the retail out you bought anchor from?
Gregg Stanchions, Bow Pulpits, Stern Rail Southcoast Marine Products 12550 47th Way North Clearwater, Fl 33520 727-573-4821 Unfortunately Southcoast Marine only sells to OEM’s and does not do business with the general public. Since Watkins is no longer in business there is no original source. Bow Pulpit & Anchor
Took delivery of 195 CC in March, 08. Have + - 50 hours now. I've followed this thread with interest and just finished changing the bow pulpit as delivered to my preference.
Purchased a Perko Mooring Bitt for the bow. Through bolted mooring bitt on pulpit with four 1/4 in. oval head machine screws, SS backing plate and Nylock SS nuts. Original cleat holes filled with Rule as they were completly covered by base of mooring bitt and the holes from the Triumph cleat mounting screws did not go through the pulpit. Removed the original cleat and installed it in the anchor locker, stern bulkhead. Now can secure the bitter end of the anchor rode in the locker, not on a side cleat on the bow. The mooring bitt is positioned so a link of my chain just slips over the horiz. rod with the balance of the chain and rode (rope) in the locker. A short bungee holds the chain link to the mooring bitt. All is secure My typical fishing trip is 3-4 days with the boat in the water at the marina. Rig the anchor one time and I have four cleats free for docking and the Perko bitt is big enough to accept a dock line if needed. |

This won't help, but I bought it from a boat dealer in Sydney Australia for $60 ... it was installed on a boat imported from the USA but didn't fit the pulpit very well so the dealer swapped it out for an aussie made one. I tried several others before finding the Kodiak, the only other like it seems to be this one ... Lewmar
